New 4 IN 1 Extruder Die Set (for Hand-held Extruder)
NIDEC- SHIMPO’S newest product is the 4 IN 1 Extruder Die Set which comes with 9 dies and 1 block out die! Use the block out die to cover three of the four size options on each 4 IN 1 die. Simply place the desired 4 in 1 die with the block out die over it, insert the two dies into our hand-held extruder and begin extruding! This die set is very simple to use and a great compliment to the hand extruder.

SHIMPO Transitions to the NIDEC Brand
NIDEC acquired SHIMPO in the mid-1990’s. Our business gained more expertise in motor design and we were able to leverage NIDEC’s large volume motor manufacturing capabilities. Due to the advancement, the motors and drives systems for our pottery wheels have always outpaced the competition in terms of quality, performance, and overall value.
In 2018 NIDEC requested all product groups to be unified by including its name on all products and removing the familiar SHIMPO logo and pottery symbol. Look for the color green and NIDEC at major conferences and events.

NIDEC-SHIMPO AMERICA CORPORATION moves into their new location in Glendale Heights, Illinois.
We are proud to announce that NIDEC-SHIMPO AMERICA has moved into their new location in Glendale Heights, Illinois! The relocation was an important next step in order to handle the rapid growth that NIDEC-SHIMPO is currently experiencing and to help facilitate our long-term expansion plans.
The new building provides increased space and infrastructure to increase our production capacity significantly for our many gear technologies. The space will enable NIDEC-SHIMPO to have better capabilities to design and to customize our products for the local market.
