Shimpo Student Scholars
|
|
We would like to thank all
of you who have participated in the Shimpo
Student Scholar program over the years.
Helping young artists to become more involved
in the ceramics community is something that
we believe to be a worthwhile endeavor and
value the opportunity to support.
At this time we are redirecting our support
to another area of ceramics education. We
are bringing the Shimpo Student Scholar
program to a close and in its place we will
be supporting the National K12 Ceramic Exhibition
Foundation. The work that this organization
has presented in the past years at the NCECA
Conferences has been outstanding. Many pieces
in the exhibit were done by artists as young
as the first grade. We hope that by supporting
this area of the ceramics world these young
K through 12 artists will be able to get
the support and encouragement they need
to continue to express themselves through
art and cultivate their artistic ability.

Shimpo Tradition of Excellence Corporate
Collection
|
|
We support ceramic artists by purchasing
a piece, from the general ceramics
community, for our Corporate collection.
Each piece has been selected based
on its own merits and its contribution
to a collection of educational significance.
The winning pieces constitute the
Tradition of Excellence Corporate
Collection and truly represent ceramic
art at its finest.
SHIMPO is Pleased to announce
this year's Tradition of Excellence
winner Black & White Vase
with Handbuilt Neck by Samuel
Scott.
